Tips and Other Information
When you bring in accounting that you have completed for your business, have the categories totaled and/or a profit/loss statement. This will bring down your fees from your accountant.
It helps to have your information organized. If we need to go through receipts to determine what is a legal deduction and what is personal and categorize them, we will add organizing fees to cover the time involved.
When you plan to hire an employee, do the following:
Get a complete application for employment
Get a completed W4
Take a copy of their driver’s license
Verify name on social security card matches the driver’s license and W4
Have them complete an I-9 form. (This is required to be kept in the file for homeland security purposes.)
Compare the information on these documents and check references at your discretion.
